The predicessors of the Scots in Scotland were known to the Romans as the Picts.  The many carved standing stones found throughout Scotland are a testament to their presence. They left little else in the historical record other than the merging of their royal line with the Scottish royalty culminating with Kenneth MacAlpine.  The miniature stones sold on this site are carved in Scotland to represent the stones as the originals look in Scotland.
